We partner with experienced guides on the island to create authentic, meaningful tours that share Puerto Rico’s beauty, culture, history, and hidden gems while supporting local families and small businesses.
Tours by the Jays was created by Jarrell and Jose, the couple behind Planeta de Café and Planet of the Jays. After sharing Puerto Rican coffee, culture, and island experiences with their community, they launched Tours by the Jays to connect visitors with trusted local guides who help them experience Puerto Rico in a more personal, local, and meaningful way. While Jarrell and Jose do not lead every tour themselves, they pop up from time to time to meet guests, share coffee, and be part of the experience.
Our guides are a husband and wife team born and raised in Puerto Rico, with over 15 years of experience sharing the island’s history, beauty, and culture with travelers. With a degree in Puerto Rican History, local knowledge, and a deep love for the island, they bring every tour to life through authentic stories and meaningful experiences. They are CPR and First Aid certified, fully licensed and insured, so every adventure is guided with care, safety, and passion.
